Seriously!

I've never really understood why Christians are so OK with half of the crap that Jerusalem pulls; as if God is on board with what they've been doing because of who they are. The idea that they have blanket immunity because they're Jerusalem is kinda bunk in my opinion. Especially when only 2% of the population claim to be Christians anyway!

I began with the first day of the new year, invested a good pair of hiking boots, and started walking/hiking every day. Combined with a change in diet I have not only lost weight but also gained the benefits of the healthier life style. Let's keep it going!

Hi. You don't know me and this might be a completely ridiculous question, but here it is. I used to have a cassette from East Side Indians and have since lost it. I've tried for a long time now to find mp3s of them online, to no avail. You wouldn't happen to have any or know where I could get any do you? Thanks for any help you can give.

Well said, my friend...my sentiments exactly! In my opinion, I think we also are fostering a cultural Christianity. By this I mean many Christians don't "walk the talk". If we did; then there would be plenty of love to go around. I wrote my seminary senior paper on this subject a couple of years ago. If you're interested in reading it - just let me know. :-)

Hey Dana, you don't know who I am but we used to play in a band up there in the Visalia/Fresno area when East Side Indians was playing around. Were you still with the band when the keyboard player joined? You guys finished up a show for us at a place somewhere between Visalia and Fresno on Hwy99 back when you all had about 5 songs total. We also did sound one night for you at that place on Mooney Blvd just outside of Visalia on the way to Tulare, I was laughing about the old metal/sleaze rock days and happened to put ESI into the search bar cuz I like your stuff (Mr. Sun) and your sight came up. I laughed when I read Louie's Zoo. We opened up for Little Ceasar there. Goodtimes!! I was the bass player/singer for the band Defyer a metal/hard rock band ala Y&T, UFO with some Dokken influence thrown in. Good to check out your sight and get a blast from the past. Keep riding!!

Dana - (can I call you Dana?)
I discovered your blog quite by accident. I am planning my own Epic Ride...(which is what I actually call it) but it is not as extensive as yours. I am planning on doing the entire California Missions Trail this upcoming Labor Day weekend. I was looking for information on the internet and came across you Mini-Missions trip posting. To find out that it was via motorcycle was cool in itself, but then to find that you are a fellow Christian brother was awesome. I have been reading your 2010 Epic Ride blog. It is informative and quite entertaining. Your writing style is much like my own, as I also write "ride reports" after each ride my group takes...we call ourselves Refuge Riders (our church is Calvary Chapel Refuge of Huntington Beach). I wish you good riding and our sign off: God Bless and Ride Safe

I agree with you on all counts, and when discussing helmet laws with other riders, I tell them pretty much exactly what you wrote. However, Florida (my home state) has an interesting solution. If you are under 21 and/or do not carry Personal Injury Protection insurance, you must wear a helmet. Riders under 21 have "Under 21" on their tags to make enforcement easier. This doesn't seem to stop our booming squid population from riding around in a T-shirt, shorts and sandals with their helmets strapped to the back of their bikes.

I downloaded Spotify yesterday but have yet to fire it up, so I can't speak to it's functionality, but Rdio does have a radio service - you can play based off a particular artist, based on what's in "heavy rotation," etc. They don't provide categories for browsing music, but the search is great (and I'm more of a search guy than a folders guy).

Still, if you collect music, it's possible that nothing will satisfy :-)
