Today we had our commissioning for our Africa trip. A commissioning is quick ceremony where everyone in the church joins to pray over us and ask for God’s blessing as we fly halfway around the world to serve others. I tend not to like to be up in front of large audiences unless there’s a drumset in front of me, but it was a neat experience. I felt very loved and humbled and honored.
I’ve created a new photoset on Flickr where all my Africa pictures will be posted. You can reach it by clicking the following link. There probably won’t be much action there until I get back. I doubt internet access is readily available where we’re going. But the commissioning and group photos are there now. Enjoy.
